A long trip.

After a solid 29 hours of travelling from the UK, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival with Foden’s Band. As well as the festival, the island is famed for the quality of its sumo-mandarins (called Hallabong), local black-pig pork, and fresh seafood caught by Jeju's famous female deep-sea divers (haenyeo).

Although the festival was the primary reason for the trip, I naturally had to bring the camera with me. Lack of luggage space meant I had to adapt my instrument case to accommodate the camera. I was therefore limited to the Nikon Z7ii with a singular all purpose lens, the 24-70mm f/2.8.

Travelling with a group is not always conducive to ‘good’ photography—often not giving us enough time to properly compose a shot, or wait for the right light. But you make the best of it, and I think I’ve come away with some cool images regardless.

Really cool the way this clothing shop decided to keep the original Kodak frontage when taking over.
